In the cove of Trece, on one of the slopes of Monte Branco, rises the highest rampant dune on the peninsula, at 150 metres. At its feet grow the caramiñas (Corema album). The name of the municipality comes from these endangered shrubs, which have the largest reserve in northwest Spain. The most unspoilt area of Camariñas lies between the beaches of Trece and the dune of Monte Branco
