This itinerary is almost circular, starting and finishing in Ponte do Porto. It is a simple and short route, easy to walk, with almost no slopes and continuous shade thanks to the riverside woodland. The unevenness of the water of the Rio Grande was used to install a series of hydraulic mills that were in operation until the end of the 1980s.
