Coastal route of Camariñas

Coastal route of Camariñas

This 19 km Blue Trail in A Coruña starts at the Manfred Gärdiner Museum and ends at the Sovereign's Castle.
This route, listed as a Blue Path, is 19 kilometres long and is located in the municipality of Camariñas (A Coruña). It starts in the parish of Camelle, at the Museum of Manfred Gärdiner, better known as “Man, the German from Camelle”, and ends at the Castelo do Soberano (Sovereign’s Castle) in Camariñas. It is a medium difficulty route, as it has only two slight climbs: the first to Monte Branco (200 m) and the second to Cabo Vilán (Vilán Cape) and its lighthouse (500 m) at the signposted turn off. It was initially conditioned and signposted by the Ministry of the Environment, which also put up the information panels on beaches, geomorphological formations and other elements of interest that this route still preserves. It runs along the entire Atlantic Coast through the Natura Network area of the municipality and its impressive landscapes, unspoilt beaches of fine white sand, special bird protection areas, natural stone sculptures, nature and sea. It is a linear route, which, between Monte Blanco and Camariñas, connects and coincides with the route approved by the Galician Mountaineering Federation PRG-158 “Costa da Morte”.
